Airplanes, Doughnuts and a Baby Girl

Last Tuesday, my sister-in-law Melissa went in to have her baby induced. I decided to drive down and take Ayden for the day to allow Melissa's mom to be there for the delivery. I was going to take the kids to the zoo, but I remembered last minute that I was supposed to go visiting teaching. Thus, we headed back up to Layton and visited with a sister in my ward. Then we went to the Air Force Museum. The boys had a wonderful time walking around looking at the airplanes and helicopters. I just let them roam wherever they wanted. Afterwards, we went to Krispy Kreme to get he boys - and me - some delicious doughnuts. I didn't realize that the one in Layton is one of only two in the whole state. It was quite the event. The boys got to watch the doughnuts being made, and then head to the counter to pick out a doughnut. They even got fun hats to wear. It made for quite a fun activity without costing much money at all. Later in the evening, I took Ayden down to the hospital for both of us to meet baby Katherine. And to top it off, I had soccer game afterwards. A busy day, but one full of memories.

Robison Family Dinner

Last Sunday, we had our monthly dinner with Mark's family. We went down to his cousin's house in Salt Lake. It was fun to see everyone and to watch the kids play together. Olivia is about 6 months older than Hannah. Not much else to say. I just wanted to post the pictures.

Weber State Basketball

Last Saturday, we took the kids to the Weber State Basketball game vs. Montana, their big rivals. Sister Whetton, my visiting teacher/ Matthew's old nursery leader, offered us the tickets. Matthew was very excited to go. We arrived in the arena, and it took a bit of effort to pry Matthew away from the first portal to find our seats on the other side. We sat down, but didn't see Sister Whetton. After a few minutes she arrived with presents for the kids - a whale for Hannah and a basketball and M&M's for Matthew. She then said there were seats open by her. She guided us into one portal and went in another, which was very confusing, until we realized she was an usher for the game. She stood in the portal directing people to the seats. We were able to sit in seats right next to where she was standing and chat with her the whole game. Apparently, when we first arrived, Matthew had seen her in the portal, but we were trying to urge him to keep walking, telling him we had to find Sister Whetton. Pretty ironic.

The game went well. It was a super close game, but Weber State pulled it off in the end. Mark and I decided that the Weber State game was a perfect place to take kids. The tickets are cheap, the arena is small, so even the high seats have great views, the parking is extremely easy to get in and out. Matthew had a blast, and Hannah did well until the end. Before the game, we were practicing with Matthew to have him say "Go, Weber State," but he refused. Every time we would say "Weber State," he would say, "No, Ohio State." Haha. We had to settle with "Go, Wildcats!" And he loved watching the mascot, Waldo the Wildcat. Which presented a hilarious situation as Matthew would continually ask, "Where's Waldo?" We had loads of fun, and Matthew got tons of loot.
